Create an OPC UA Connection

OPC UA connections link the Splunk Edge Hub to OPC UA servers so the Edge Hub can collect industrial metrics from supported devices. Once connected, the Edge Hub can browse, subscribe to, and send selected OPC UA tags as metric data to the Splunk platform. Complete the following steps to create an OPC UA connection setup:

1. Navigate to a Device Profile or Edge Manager for a device.
2. Select New Server
3. Configure the following fields:

Field	Description
Server Name	A friendly name to identify the OPC UA server connection within the Splunk Edge Hub.
Server URL	The endpoint address of the OPC UA server. For example, opc.tcp://192.168.0.10:4840.
Publishing Intervals	Frequency, in seconds, for receiving data updates from the OPC UA server via Data Change Subscription. Lower values equals more frequent updates.
